Flu Campaign 2024-2025 Starting 3 October

We are pleased to announce that our Flu Campaign will begin on 3rd October for all registered patients who are eligible for this year’s flu vaccinations.

To check if you are eligible, please refer to the guidelines on the NHS website.

Flu Clinics

We will be holding flu clinics at Highfield Surgery on

  • Saturday, 12th October, and
  • Saturday, 19th October.

Eligible patients will receive a text message with instructions on how to book an appointment for these clinics.

If you are unable to attend the clinics on these dates, please contact our reception team to schedule your flu jab with one of our clinicians on another day.

Children’s Flu Nasal Spray

We offer a flu nasal spray vaccination for children aged 2-3 years. If you have any concerns regarding the use of pork gelatine in the Fluenz nasal vaccine, please refer to the Fluenz Nasal Vaccine Information for Muslim Communities.

RSV Vaccination

Some patients may also be eligible to receive the new Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccination at the same time as their flu vaccination. It is safe to have both vaccines administered together. For more information on the RSV vaccination, please consult the NHS website.
