Volunteer Opportunity: NHS App Trainer (Group Sessions)

Are you interested in supporting your local community and helping patients gain confidence with digital healthcare?

We are currently seeking volunteers to join our team as NHS App Trainers to deliver group sessions at our practice. This rewarding role aims to help patients better understand and use the NHS App – enabling them to manage appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view their health records, and access a range of NHS services online.

As an NHS App Trainer, you will:

• Lead or support small group training sessions for patients

• Help explain the features and benefits of the NHS App

• Offer practical guidance on downloading and using the app safely

• Provide reassurance and encouragement, especially to those who may be less familiar with digital technology

This opportunity is ideal for those who:

• Enjoy meeting and supporting people in their local community

• Have good communication skills and patience

• Are comfortable using smartphones or tablets

• Can commit to volunteering at regular group sessions (frequency to be agreed)

Training and support will be provided.
